My First Blog Post

                                                                                                                                          8/30/15

If you do not already know, I am going on a long trip with my whole family. We are going to spend three months in India, three months in Guatemala, and three months in Costa Rica, in that order. Our flight takes off in 12 hours, I am excited and nervous for the trip but I am also really sad that I had to say good bye to all my friends. If you're wondering, my brother and I are going to be homeschooled by my mom and dad. These blogs are actually part of my work. We have been planning this trip for a long time. Last year my dad started thinking about creating a new program calledWorldStamp Gap Year. Gap year is what it's called to take a year off between high school and college. My dad will lead the group the first time around , but we couldn't not see him for nine months, so we get to go too. So here I am, typing this up, about to embark on the biggest trip of my life, so far. And guess what, I bet you wouldn't believe it, my mom is having another baby! When I first heard, about two weeks ago, I was shocked. I really like babies so ever since my little brother was born I've been asking for another one. Once I got over the shock I started thinking, I was only three when my brother was born and I didn't know much so I wonder how it's going to be this time, now that I'm eleven. Another sibling to add to the turmoil, this really is going to be a crazy year. I've been to Guatemala many, many times (my mom was born there,) Costa Rica twice, but I've never been to India. and I'm pretty nervous about that one. My dad's been there a lot and every time he goes there he goes he brings back a crazy story, one time he got robbed! Anyway, he also says the people there are super nice. In Guatemala my mom has a lot of friends and family that we visit. Also I know how to speak Spanish so that always helps. I just went to Costa Rica this summer and I made some really nice friends. I like Costa Rica a lot because it's tropical and also has really cool places. This trip is here and I hope I'm ready. That's it for now, the next time you hear from me I'll be in India.
